If you’re having a sit-down wedding breakfast as part of your big day, then a table seating plan and table names or numbers are an essential part of the on the day stationery you’ll need! I recently wrote a blog all about tips for the table seating plan which you can read here.
The table names are a fab opportunity to bring your personality and creativity as a couple to your wedding day. There are lots of ideas you could use to name the tables, such as countries you’ve travelled to as a couple or your favourite cities.
Winnington and Coe
Hannah and Tom chose an arched table name printed in gold foil on blush pink which were positioned amongst their beautiful blooms, as part of their gorgeous pink and gold wedding colour palette.
Matthew Lawrence
Favourite drinks or food are a popular choice for table names, particularly different types of wines just like Clare and Joe chose for their burgundy rustic wedding. The pops of watercolour burgundy on the stationery looked fab combined with the beautiful florals.
Jessica Lily
This table name was a beauty personalised with rust calligraphy, a curved edge and positioned in a gold frame for a warm muted tones autumnal wedding.
Alice Cunliffe
Other ideas for names include your favourite flowers or plans, favourite songs or bands or anything you enjoy together such as films, musicals, plays or TV shows. You can be as creative as you like and have fun, just like this cheeky monochrome table name!
Annie Bradney
Lauren and Tom chose their table names to be an illustration of different lakes within the Lake District combined with hand drawn calligraphy and a touch of gold leaf, placed in gold frames. The couple visited the lakes when they were engaged so this was a personal touch for them.
Romy Lawrence
As an alternative to naming each table, you can use simple numbers or even roman numerals, just like this one with a hand painted pale blue background and my signature hand drawn calligraphy in white.
Benjamin Stuart
There are different ways of making the table number special, for example this arched minimalist table number features a little welcome message along the curved edge for guests as they sit down at the table.
Chloe Caldwell
Or, I can add floral illustrations to the design if they’ve been used in the stationery, such as this table number nestled into the eucalyptus on the table.
Amy O Boyle
Little finishing touches such as ribbon looks lovely too. Laura and Matthew’s dusky blue barn wedding featured Laura’s family tartan ribbon which was tied to each table number.
Rosie Davidson
All the wedding table names or numbers are designed in the same style as the rest of your wedding stationery for a cohesive look and feel. If you’ve opted for colourful stationery, then it’s another way to add some colour into the wedding styling on the tables too!
This table name is from the Amelia wedding stationery collection with a watercolour foliage design and hand drawn calligraphy. A curved card gives a modern contemporary feel. All of the LouPaper wedding stationery collections can be customised to suit the colour palette and style of your wedding day.
