I love working on autumn weddings because of the warm, earthy, muted colours often used in the autumn season. Such as the autumn wedding featured on today’s blog…. Chelsea and Neil had a stunning autumn wedding at Millbridge Court in Surrey, where the neutral colours looked beautiful across all the wedding styling. All the details were captured by photographer Alice Cunliffe.
The ceremony took place in the hall with high ceilings, rustic oak beams and the glorious sun streaming through the glass windows as Chelsea and Neil were officially wed. The incredible floral displays which took centre stage were created by Hannah Berry Flowers, using an array of neutral tones with pops of burgundy for an autumnal look.
Wedding Breakfast Set Up
The wedding breakfast celebration was set up with rustic banquet tables, wooden chairs, dried floral arrangements, elegant gold cutlery and an array of pastel candlesticks in pale greens and pinks.
For each guest place setting I hand calligraphered the place name in rose gold on a white card, which was layered on a pale beige wedding menu with a curved edge for a contemporary look.
Each table name continued with the curved stationery, personalised with rust calligraphy and positioned within a gold frame.
Wedding Signage
Welcome signs are a lovely way to welcome guests to your wedding day. Chelsea and Neil chose to incorporate a welcome message along with the order of events timeline as icons, on clear perspex with a hand painted background and placed on a rustic easel.
The table plan used touches of calligraphy in rust reflecting the banquet styling seating, placed on a wooden rustic easel and styled with seasonal pumpkins and candles.
Wedding Outfits
Bride Chelsea looked stunning in her bridal gown accompanied with soft loose curls. Groom Neil wore a three piece brown tweed suit. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their silk maxi beige dresses to co-ordinate with the muted neutral tones used throughout.
On The Day Signage
I love it when couples choose to use smaller signage for different details of the wedding day because it’s adds a lovely personal touch. Chelsea and Neil chose to use signs for the wedding cake tier flavours and an ‘in loving memory’ card, displayed with loved ones photos. Small signage on the wedding day is a fab way of keeping consistency with all the wedding stationery and the styling.
Thank you Chelsea and Neil for letting me be a part of your special day. I loved working on this gorgeous autumn wedding and wish the couple all the best for the future. Here’s a few more photos from their wedding day….
