Reflective, romantic and effortlessly stylish, mirror signage has become a popular choice for couples who want their wedding décor to feel personal and a little different. If you’re considering mirrors for wedding signs, this guide will walk you through the different types available, how to style and place them beautifully and the practical details such as weather considerations to cleaning and maintenance, so everything looks flawless on the day.
Why Choose Wedding Mirror Signs?
Wedding mirror signs offer a unique blend of function and beauty. The reflective surface catches candlelight, florals and soft fabrics, adding depth and interest to your décor and styling. They also photograph beautifully and you can have lots of fun with the reflection and your photography!

Types of Wedding Mirror Signs
There are different types of wedding mirror signs you can choose from, including welcome mirrors, bar and menu mirrors or quote mirrors. I can provide vinyl lettering or calligraphy to customise the mirror to add a stylish and personalised touch.
Styling and Placement of a Mirror Sign
Just as i would advise with the larger signs, the mirror signs can be placed on an easel and positioned at the venue entrance for a welcome mirror and around the venue for other mirror signs. When positioning a wedding mirror sign, consider the natural light and venue lighting. Soft, ambient lighting enhances the mirror’s glow without causing glare, a small styling detail that makes a big difference.
Weather Considerations
If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, mirrors wedding signs need a little extra thought. Windy weather can easily topple lightweight stands, so sturdy easels or weighted bases are essential. Direct sunlight can also cause reflections in photographs or make the text harder to read, so placing mirrors in shaded or partially covered areas is ideal. For our unpredictable British weather, always have a backup indoor placement option just in case.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Mirror signs are wonderfully reusable, but they do require gentle care if you're providing them yourself. Before the big day, clean with a soft microfiber cloth and a non-streak glass cleaner. Avoid harsh sprays near vinyl or painted lettering, use a light mist on the cloth rather than the mirror works best. On the wedding morning, give the mirror a quick polish to remove any fingerprints or dust picked up during transport. After the wedding day, store mirrors wrapped in soft fabric or bubble wrap to prevent any scratches and so they can be re-used.
If you're not convinced on the mirrors signs or they are sounding a bit high manintenance for your big day, then a frosted acrylic might be for you! These always look great paired with white text and are a fab alternative to a mirror.
