Lots more wedding couples are requesting an unplugged ceremony sign, asking their guests to put their phones away and not use them during the wedding ceremony. But how do you make this happen on the big day? As well as the officiant making an announcement at the beginning, using clear signage as guests enter also helps as a friendly reminder.
Why have an Unplugged Wedding Ceremony?
The main benefits of an unplugged ceremony are you have all of your guests' full attention as you officially tie the knot. It also allows the photographer to be able to get clear, unobstructed shots of the happy couple of which you can share round on your terms!
Unplugged Ceremony Sign Wording
Don't worry, your guests will understand the no phones during the ceremony! Here are a few examples of weddings with unplugged ceremony signs, with polite wording asking guests to not use their phones. Having a no wedding phone policy doesn't have to be super strict or awkward!

Having an unplugged sign not only updates your guests but also serves as a styling point with an opportunity to add a wedding floral arrangement like this dreamy pastel number...

Unplugged Wedding Sign Design Ideas
Your unplugged sign will be matched to your wedding day stationery with the same consistent design and wedding colours. If you've opted for some colourful stationery then having the unplugged sign provides a pop of colour at the venue too.

I design wedding stationery in collections including save the date cards all the way through to the on the day stationery. I also offer a bespoke stationery service if you have something specific in mind. Hannah and Andrew chose bespoke stationery for their stunning South of France wedding, including an unplugged ceremony sign and you can read al the details here.
