Smaller, intimate weddings became mandatory during part of the pandemic but since then have increased in popularity. By keeping your big day to a smaller guest list benefits of course your budget but also means you can create memories with each guest attending your big day.
A smaller guest list also allows more venue options for the location of your day with much more choice than a wedding with a big guestlist. With fewer guests to cater for and depending on your budget, you could opt for a food stall for an outdoor reception or choose a restaurant with more courses than the typical 3 course wedding breakfast.

When it comes to wedding stationery for your big day, I advise to firstly send a save the date to give your chosen guests enough notice of your chosen date. Your save the dates give your guests the first impression of your special day and I have lots of save the date designs available in a range of colour palettes.

I have a curated collection of wedding designs available on my website which is a great starting point for inspiration for your wedding stationery. All of the designs can be customised to suit your wedding style and colour palette.
There are calligraphy designs such as The Hollie stationery collection shown in a blush pink and crisp white palette.
Hot foil is also available for a gorgeous metallic finish on stationery as shown on The Eloise Stationery Collection.

Wedding Stationery Finishing Touches
With less quantities to order for stationery why not add some luxury finishing touches to make it truly personalised. Perhaps a wax stamp where you can choose your design such as this foliage wax seal shown on The Lauren Stationery Collection.

Envelope liners are another way to add a finishing touch and a wow factor as guests open their wedding invitation. This blue watercolour envelope design co-ordinated with the watercolour used across The Chloe Stationery Collection.

On The Day Wedding Stationery
With a smaller wedding you can still have on the day stationery as much or as little as you would like. You might still want to provide a table plan and table names or numbers.
I love using modern calligraphy to personalise place names for guests which can either be layered on top of a wedding menu such as this bold teal and crisp white example.

Or combined as a menu place name to create a beautiful place setting, personalised with gold calligraphy. The perfect personalisation for a wedding of any size.

An order of the day sign is a great idea no matter how many guests are attending the wedding so everyone knows what to expect and when. As a small wedding you might choose to not have all the usual wedding traditions but you can be as creative as you like with wedding signage to co-ordinate with your stationery. Couple Clare & Joe opted for icons on their signage.

Wedding Favours
With less guests you can be more personalised with the wedding favours too. Couple Rosie & Jonty gifted a book to each of their guests, wrapped in brown paper tied with burgundy string to accompany their personalised place names, designed using gold calligraphy on burgundy card, a little gold foil and accessorised with a gold tassel for their intimate festive wedding.
