5 THOUGHTFUL DETAILS FOR A UNIQUE WEDDING DAY

Your wedding day isn’t just about the ceremony, it’s a celebration of your love as a couple with your loved ones and there’s lots of decisions to be made throughout the planning process! Once all the bigger decisions such as your venue, the catering and colour palette have been made, there’s a lovely opportunity to make your wedding day truly memorable with some smaller details.

Here are 5 ideas to help make your wedding day truly unique and to help with your wedding planning….

1. Personalised Wedding Invitations

Your wedding invitation is the first impression of your wedding day and sets the tone for what guests can expect on the day. Think about your colour palette so this can run consistently through the wedding details from stationery to the details on the day. As a couple you might choose more informal wording or have a specific dress code. There might be a style that fits your wedding venue such as a boho design for a rustic barn wedding.

For Kirsty and Tyler, I designed a bespoke invitation, incorporating a beautiful watercolour ikat pattern to represent bride Kirsty’s South American heritage. Combined with a wedding venue illustration and black calligraphy. Read all about their wedding here.

2. Have a Bespoke Monogram!

I can create a bespoke monogram using your initials which can be used across your wedding stationery before the wedding and on the day itself! A gorgeous symbol of your love on your wedding day. I can add the bespoke monogram to a wax seal for a truly unique finishing touch too, in a range of different colours.

3. Personalise your Wedding Drinks Menu

A fab way to make your wedding day memorable is to personalise the cocktails on offer. You could have a favourite each as the bride and groom specials or choose one which has a special meaning to you as a couple, such as a favourite holiday cocktail. I can create the drinks menu to fit in with the rest of the on the day wedding stationery and signage for a cohesive style which fits your colour choices.

Small signs are a great way to draw your guest’s attention to particular details of your wedding day. If you choose colourful stationery, then small signs help to add a pop of colour to the wedding styling too.

4. Personalised Table Names

You can have a lot of fun choosing the names of your wedding tables. Take inspiration from where you’ve travelled to, shared interests or significant dates. I’ve written a blog post with lots of ideas on wedding table name ideas which you can read here. The table names are a great way to inject some of your personalities and fun into the day to make it memorable!

5. Wedding Favours

A lovely way to treat your guests to something meaningful. Perhaps a homemade gin or a heartfelt gesture such as a charity donation. The list is endless! I can add tags to drinks or other items to help tie them into your wedding theme, just like this one with calligraphy to match the guest place names.
