Becky and Owain held their late summer wedding day at wedding venue 10 Castle Street, in the heart of Dorset. A grade II listed Queen Anne Country Manor, the couple had a marquee installed in the venue gardens for their celebrations and their wedding ceremony took place in a nearby church.
Their wedding day had an elegant, classic English country garden wedding style running throughout. One of the highlights has to be the abundance of incredible florals from Dorset Flowers, including this gorgeous floral piece installed into the ceiling of the light and bright marquee. All the romantic details of their wedding day were captured by talented wedding photographer Lydia Stamps.
Marquee Wedding Breakfast
The light and bright marquee was set up with a classic long top table and guests seated on round tables with wooden chairs. Pretty pastel pink and white florals were placed in glass jars on crisp white linen with pale pink touches. I designed the table names with hand drawn calligraphy which were placed in gold frames.
Becky and Owain chose menus on pink card with white place names which were secured with gold wax seals. Each place name was hand calligraphered with the guest name in gold and each menu was personalised with the guests’ dietary requirements.
For wedding favours, the couple gifted their guests with a cute homemade elderflower gin. I personalised the small thank you card with calligraphy and these were tied with a sage green ribbon to coordinate with the green touches throughout the day. I’ve got plenty of ideas for wedding favours on this blog post.
Wedding Stationery
For this timeless summer garden wedding style the couple opted for the Eloise wedding stationery collection from my curated collection of wedding stationery designs. Designed with calligraphy, a simple yet elegant typography style and love heart details. The couple requested a finishing touch of their wedding venue as an illustration and to change the colour palette for a pastel pink for the venue details and light green for the RSVP card. As with all the wedding stationery collections, I can customise them to suit the colour palette of your wedding day. More ideas for finishing touches can be found here.
Wedding Signage
Becky and Owain chose some larger wedding signage items for their big day. The welcome sign featured gold calligraphy on a pale green background, placed on a wooden easel and styled with the gorgeous wedding florals to welcome their guests on arrival.
The table plan used the same colour palette with gold on a pale green background which tied in so beautifully with the impactful floral display as the guests’ entered the marquee.
I can also provide an order of service for the wedding ceremony. The couple chose to keep these formal with their names, details of the church, their wedding date and the heart illustration for consistency with their stationery.
Small signage is a lovely way to let your guests know any special details of your day and the flavours of the wedding cake is essential information! The personalised sign and three tiered iced wedding cake looked so elegant together.
Wedding Party Outfits
Bride Becky wore an elegant bridal gown by Suzanne Neville with her hair styled into a twisted half hair up do and pretty waves, combined with classic pearl earrings and necklace. Groom Owain wore a dark grey tweed three piece suit with a white shirt and green tie.
Becky’s bridesmaids wore maxi pale green dresses with loose sleeves and pretty hair up do’s. The groomsmen all co-ordinated with green ties and darker 3 piece suits.
I was delighted to be a chosen supplier for this timeless and elegant pastel country garden wedding day. Thank you, Becky and Owain, I wish you a lifetime of happiness together. Here’s a few more photos from their wedding day….
