SUSTAINABLE WEDDING STATIONERY

One trend I'm seeing lately is couples requesting more sustainable wedding stationery choices. Your wedding stationery is the first glimpse guests have of your wedding day, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. With thoughtful planning, you can create beautiful, meaningful stationery that’s also eco-friendly. Here are some practical ways to make your wedding stationery more sustainable, without sacrificing on style!

1. Consider your Paper Choices

One of the easiest and most effective ways to go greener is by choosing sustainable paper stock. Recycled paper has come a long way in both quality and appearance. As all of my curated collection of wedding stationery designs are customisable, the paper can be changed to a more sustainable option.

2. Print Less

Another way to be more considerate to the environment is to consider printing less quantities for the on the day items. For example, you could half the quantity of order of service booklets as your guests can easily share, or for the wedding breakfast you could print a wedding menu per table, instead of individual menus per guest.

3. Go Digital

With a digital invitation you can still choose one of my wedding stationery collection designs. I personalise the design with the details of your wedding day and your colours. I then send the design as a PDF or a jpeg file so you can send out to your guests by email or text. Read more tips on adding a QR code to wedding stationery on this blog post.

4. Avoid any non-recyclable finishing touches

An easy way to make better sustainable choices is to avoid any finishing touches which are not recyclable. There are plenty of alternative options such as dried flowers or pressed leaves to use instead.

5. Work with local suppliers on the day

Beyond the stationery think about your wedding day and how you could make more sustainable choices, perhaps sourcing local suppliers for food and drink and avoiding any waste such as wedding favours which may get left on tables. Drinkable wedding favours are always a popular option! Biodegradable confetti and hiring any props or items instead of buying, all help you have a more environmentally friendly wedding day.
