SUMMER PALE BLUE BARN WEDDING

Steph and Lee held their wedding day at Tythe Barn Launton, a luxury barn and farmhouse in the Oxfordshire countryside. With pale blue tones as a wedding colour palette and incredible wedding blooms by Sass Flowers. An August summer wedding where wedding photographer Poppy Carter captured all the pretty details, which Ellie Bower from Bower Events had planned to perfection! I love all the pretty pastel tones in the flowers, including this statement floral instillation at the entrance to the barn. The couple chose the Hollie wedding stationery collection with its contemporary and minimalist theme.

Wedding Signage

For the order of the day sign I hand calligraphered using silver ink on fabric and the sign was adorned with pale blue ribbon. Fabric is such a versatile material for wedding signage, it creates a real statement but also has such beautiful movement when it flutters softly in the wind. Fabric signage is a top tip for a destination wedding because it can fold up easily into a suitcase when travelling!

Wedding Table Plan

The wedding table plan was also printed onto fabric with everyone’s names listed under the top table, table 1 or 2. I recommend keeping the table plan super easy to read, so guests can find their names quickly, because it’s always a high traffic area!

Wedding Breakfast Set Up

Rustic wooden tables were set up with pretty pastel floral displays and pale pink candles in glass candleholders. Each table had a table number sign just like this one for the top table, which I designed with modern hand drawn calligraphy in blue ink on pale blue card, which looked gorgeous next to the stunning pastel wedding blooms.

For the place settings I printed each guest name onto pale blue card, tied with pale blue ribbon, layered on a monochrome wedding menu with a touch of calligraphy. Beautifully colour matched with a pale blue linen napkin.
