SIZE OF WEDDING INVITES?

Are you thinking about what size your wedding invitation should be? I design my wedding stationery as collections, and the wedding invitation suite is part of the collection. Typically, the invitation suite is made up of the main invitation card, the details card and the RSVP card.

The main invitation card is 5 x 7 inches, allowing enough space to personalise with your names, the date, location and the time. This is a lovely size for guests to proudly display at home!

The details card is dependant on the design and whether it has curves or wavy edges for how much space there is. I design the invitation suite to all layer together beautifully! The details card will have any information that’s useful for guests to plan, such as accommodation, taxis, gifts and a menu if you are asking for choices upfront. I can help advise on the wording of this information, should you choose.

The RSVP card includes space for the guests’ names, whether they can attend or not, menu options if required and any dietary requirements. Plus, you can add a song request for your evening party, should you wish. These are always smaller than the wedding invitation, usually size A6.

All of the collections can be customised such as changing the colour of the card or the calligraphy ink or adding different finishing touches, such as a wax seal or a bespoke monogram. I’ve written a blog all about the different finishing options here.
