SHOULD WE CREATE A WEDDING DAY BRAND?

Some couples have recently asked whether it’s a good idea to create a brand for your wedding day, so I thought I’d share some ideas of how this can work!

As an experienced wedding stationer, I’ve helped many couples bring their wedding vision to life. There are many ways to leave a lasting impression on your guests, from the first look of the wedding style from the save the date and wedding invitation, through to the on the day stationery items.

What Is Wedding Branding?

So, what exactly is wedding branding? It means creating a unified visual identity for your wedding day, which runs through every touchpoint of the day. It’s about creating consistency, such as using the same colour palette, personalisation and a bit of storytelling about you as a couple. There are a few ways you can create a wedding brand…..

A Bespoke Monogram

One of the most popular and elegant elements of wedding branding is a custom monogram. I work with couples to create unique monograms that reflect their personalities, style, or even a meaningful symbol from their love story.

I can create a bespoke monogram for you as a couple and then apply it to all the stationery and signage elements. This pulls together a unique look for you as a couple and ties everything together on the wedding day.

Cohesive Colours & Consistency

The wedding colour palette is an important choice because it helps create an atmosphere on the big day and is a big part of the styling. Perhaps you’ll opt for one bold colour where all the stationery and signage items create attention, or you’ll have an elegant monochrome theme in mind. No matter the colour, I can design the stationery to suit. Everything doesn’t have to match exactly so you could have a range of different tones, it depends on the kind of day you dream of! The colour palette creates the base of the styling with bridesmaid dresses, wedding florals and the wedding breakfast tablescape all flowing seamlessly together.

Wax Seals

Wax seals are a gorgeous finishing touch and a lovely way to brand your wedding day, whether its your bespoke monogram, initials or a floral design on the wax seal. It’s a lovely way to add texture, timeless appeal, some personalisation and a touch of luxe to your stationery. As with the bespoke monogram, the wax seal can be added to many different stationery elements such as your wedding invites through to guest place cards.
