Sharing a styled shoot on the blog which took place at wedding venue Larmer Tree, on the Dorset/Wiltshire border in the UK. A beautiful setting with a unique collection of ornate buildings within the garden and peacocks roaming around the grounds!
Wedding Planner and stylist Luna and the Lane used a colour palette of black, putty, almond and a hint of dark oxblood to give some contemporary edginess, which was brought to life through the florals and a richness of materials used throughout the styling.
I designed monochrome stationery which worked so beautifully with the shoot aesthetic. Luke and Sammy from Agrestal Visuals have an emotive and atmospheric approach to their wedding photography and captured all the details perfectly.
Monochrome Wedding Table
The monochrome palette continued through to the wedding table where stunning flowers were pulled together by Willow and Wisps who added warmth to the monochrome palette by using oxblood foliage and cinnamon veined tulips to create a statement look.
Black and white linen, white vases and black candles all added to the moody tones, with all the table ware provided by Place Settings.
Black and White Wedding Stationery
I designed monochrome wedding stationery including a wedding invitation on black card with personalised white calligraphy. The save the date and the invitation details card were on white with black calligraphy and text. I’ll never get bored of a stationery flat lay photo!
The wedding invitation design included a vellum wrap secured with a white foliage wax seal. I offer both pre-made or bespoke wax seals to be added as a finishing touch to wedding stationery. For more inspiration about finishing touches have a read here.
For consistency with the invitation a white foliage wax seal was also added to the black invitation envelope.
Each place setting at the wedding table had a place name hand calligraphered and layered onto a monochrome wedding menu, secured with a pin.
Wedding Welcome Sign
Welcome guests to your big day in style with a welcome wedding sign. For this shoot I personalised with white calligraphy on black card which was secured to a copper frame and styled with the warm monochrome florals.
Bride and Groom Outfits
The bridal gown featured a beautiful v neckline with slim fitting skirt from Forever Deborah Bridal, accessorised with jewellery by Milly Maunder and a full length veil. The groom wore a classic tuxedo suit.
