GUIDE TO CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING INVITES

Wondering how to create the perfect wedding invitation for your big day? The wedding invitation is the first impression of your wedding day to your guests, and you want it to reflect you as a couple. As an experienced wedding stationer, here are some tips to make that happen!

Wedding Style

Your wedding venue may give you some ideas or lend itself to a particular style of wedding day, which will influence your stationery, such as a city- based venue with stylish monochrome stationery, or a wedding barn venue with boho style stationery. Waved edges such as the invitation in the Ottilie wedding stationery collection create interest and a contemporary look, gorgeous for a boho style.

Wedding Stationery Colours

You may have already selected your colour palette which is a great starting point. If you haven’t, don’t worry! I have a curated collection of wedding stationery designs available on my website. Each collection can be customised to your wedding colours. I can also customise the paper to handmade paper, add deckle edges or print on thicker card for a more luxe feel.  There are options for customising the printing too, such as hot foil or letterpress. For the Rosie wedding stationery collection, I added delicate floral illustrations for a romantic feel which would look lovely in any colour.

Wedding Stationery Wording

No matter whether you’re having a formal wedding day or more chilled day, we can work together to craft the perfect wording for your wedding invitation. I have plenty of tips on how to word about wedding gifts or children not being invited too!

Wedding Invitation Suite

Each of my wedding invitation suites are made up of the invite card, the details card and the RSVP card. We can include any additional details to provide your guests with the information they need in advance such as a map, accommodation recommendations, and the wedding menu or dietary requirements. I’ve got a blog post with tips on how to manage your guest RSVP’s here!
