A chic and intimate wedding, blending a romantic country setting with elegant and modern details. The concept, planning and styling is all by the talented Claire Do Monte Weddings. I’m in love with the monochrome styling throughout.
The shoot took place at Barnsley House in the Cotswolds which is an exclusive hotel and wedding venue with a charming Temple garden. All the intimate details of the shoot were captured beautifully by Taylor Hughes Photography.
The wedding flowers by Iris and Co Flowers used traditional white and green with a modern twist of stunning roses among rich textures of eucalyptus, jasmine and ferns. The bridal bouquet was finished with a striking black silk ribbon from Pom Pom Blossom.
Modern Elegant Wedding Table
A large urn was used as the table centrepiece containing pure white flowers. Delphiniums, spray roses and waxflowers were added to create texture and to provide different flower shapes.
The minimalist contemporary table featured layered crockery, linen from Just 4 Linen and a black velvet bow tied on each of the napkins. The glass candlesticks and black square lanterns from The W Collection add an air of elegance and a slight masculine edge. Complimented with stylish black tapered candles from Ester & Erik.
The wedding menus were personalised with each guest’s name and layered up to create a stylish place setting. Fixed together using drop paper clips which are a beautiful way to fasten stationery.
Black and White Wedding Stationery
The elegant and stylish monochrome palette was used throughout the wedding stationery. I created a stationery collection using modern calligraphy on crisp white and black card stock paired with classic, refined typography for the design. A hand drawn illustration of the venue also featured in the wedding invitation design for a bespoke and personal finishing touch.
Bridal and Groom Outfits
Let’s take a moment of appreciation for this Suzanne Neville wedding dress. The exquisite ‘Amber’ wedding gown has clean lines with a structured bodice and stunning square neckline.
The Groom wore a classic and stylish tailored black tie suit by Grooms Attire.
Hair and make up was by Jo Adams from Hair & Makeup Atelier. The bride’s hair was styled into a cascade of glamorous Hollywood waves, to compliment the incredible tailoring of the dress. Jo used a make up look to enhance the bride’s natural beauty.
Monochrome Wedding Cake
An incredible contemporary wedding cake was created by Cake Buds. Showcasing stunning black marbling to echo the timeless monochrome styling.
