Making more sustainable choices is something more couples are considering when wedding planning. Weddings can create a lot of wastage just for one day so being ethically minded helps reduce the environmental impact of the big day.
Sustainable Wedding Stationery
Thankfully sustainable wedding stationery doesn’t have to compromise on style. Many printers offer recycled papers which stationery can be printed on, such as this gorgeous cardstock made from organic waste such as by-products of fruits, coffee and nuts, all saved from landfill.

All of the collections on my website can be customised to suit the style of your wedding day. For this stationery I based the design on the Hollie stationery collection but printed on recycled paper using a gorgeous warm colour palette and added some curves with the full arch invite and half arch place names.

Using recycled paper provides a gorgeous boho inspired look which looks stylish and contemporary when paired with curves, as shown here on the guest place setting layered on a menu.

Handmade paper wedding invitations
The Olive stationery collection uses handmade paper which gives a rustic, tactile finish to each invitation as every sheet of paper is truly unique.

Sustainable Wedding Signage
Greencast Perspex is produced using recycled acrylic for a more sustainable option for on the day signage such as wedding welcome signs, table plans and order of services. Calligraphy can be added for a beautiful and contemporary look as shown on this wedding welcome sign.

Sustainable Wedding Stationery Ideas
You can choose to send digital RSVP’s or wedding invitations instead of printing on paper and sending in the post. I can still create a design for you and provide as a pdf. For on the day stationery you can opt for a sharing menu per table instead of an individual menu per guest. Order of services can also be shared in couples to reduce the print quality.

Sustainable Wedding Ideas
Beyond the stationery there are other sustainable wedding choices you can consider. Speak to your wedding venue about local and recommended suppliers for seasonal flowers and catering options to minimise travel. You could donate flowers to a local home after the wedding so they aren’t wasted. How about donating to a charity instead of giving wedding favours to guests to minimise wastage. Consider a vintage wedding dress or how you could sell your bridal gown as second hand after the big day. Hire items to style your big day rather than buying them or use what the venue already has.
