PRETTY PASTEL GARDEN MARQUEE WEDDING

Shaunna and Sam held their late Spring wedding as a church ceremony, followed by a wedding reception in a marquee in Shaunna’s parents garden in the Surrey countryside. Marquee weddings are fab because the marquee provides a blank canvas for you to style exactly as you wish, to represent you both as a couple. The couple worked with planner Sophie Elizabeth Events to bring together their vision for their big day with all the details captured by wedding photographer

Nicola Drummond.

This wedding featured an abundance of incredible wedding florals by Raven and Ryegrass including this beautiful floral instillation around the church door. The garden roses used are stunning in an array of pinks and whites. With a pretty pastel colour scheme running throughout the day, including a combination of roses in an assortment of pinks with green foliage, the bridesmaids in mink and grey and gold touches running through the stationery.

Welcome Sign

Welcome signs come in all shapes and sizes and on a variety of different materials. Shaunna and Sam chose a combined welcome and order of the day sign, printed on fabric for a romantic and contemporary feel. A fabric sign is the perfect choice when placed outside as it creates a bit of movement as it moves in the breeze. Large wedding signs provide a great backdrop to be styled too, such as the stunning wedding florals placed here.

Wedding Stationery

Shaunna and Sam chose the Emilie wedding stationery collection for their wedding stationery and chose to add an illustration of the church for a truly personal touch, along with gold hot foil calligraphy for a luxury finish. Finishing touches are available on all of the LouPaper wedding stationery collections and each collection can be changed to the colour palette of your choice.

Wedding Breakfast Set Up

Round tables were set up for guests in the light and bright marquee, styled with floral arrangements and an incredible 3 metre floral chandelier situated above the bar area! All overlooking the gorgeous greenery from the garden outside.

The couple chose meaningful places for their table names, which I hand calligraphered in gold. The table names were places in gold frames and placed amongst the pale pink taper candles and floral centrepieces.

For each guest setting, I hand calligraphered the guest name in white ink onto grey card which was layered on a pale grey menu, also with a touch of calligraphy and secured with a modern pin.

Small Signage

By including small signs throughout your wedding day, you can let your guests know any important information, such as where to leave their cards if you have a dedicated space. Calligraphy always brings an elegant style to the day too!

Or to encourage guests to eat the wedding cake, once cut of course! Every piece of signage also creates a styling opportunity on your big day so if you’re looking for pops of colour then definitely include some signs.

If you’re having signature cocktails on your wedding day, then let your guests know about them in a beautiful way! For Shaunna and Sam, I designed this bespoke small sign with calligraphy and watercolour illustrations for their cocktail choices.

Wedding Table Plan

The table plan I designed with touches of gold vinyl calligraphy on a perspex background which was hand painted with a light grey watercolour and placed on a white easel in the garden, close to the entrance of the garden marquee.

Wedding Outfits

Shaunna looked stunning in her bridal gown from Essence of Australia with a pretty lace and beaded bodice, flowing skirt and a gorgeous low back. Her hair was styled into glamorous curls and accessorised with a veil for the church ceremony.

Sam wore a tailcoat jacket with his trousers and waistcoat in grey, combined with a shirt, tie and pocket square. His groomsmen wore matching suits to him but with a darker tie. Shaunna’s bridesmaids looked beautiful in mink silk maxi dresses from Rewritten London.
