DIGITAL WEDDING INVITATIONS

Digital or online wedding invitations have become more popular in the last few years with the rise of wedding planning couples using a wedding website to contain all of their wedding information for guests. Instead of the more traditional way of sending a printed save the date or invitation in the post, the design can be sent by email to guests. Wedding websites are particularly popular for destination weddings where there is an itinerary and lots of accommodation and travel information to share with guests.

When designing your stationery, I can add on a QR code or a link to your wedding website, to direct guests to read all the information on your big day, should you wish to do so.

I have a curated range of wedding stationery collections on my website which are personalised and can be customised to change the colours to suit your big day. The design can then be sent as a digital file instead of printed copies in the post. I provide you with a PDF or jpeg file, ready for you to send out via email or text. One of the collections is the Olivia invitation from the Olivia stationery collection with white calligraphy on a dusky pink angled card for a contemporary look.

If you decide to send your save the dates or invitations as digital I recommend having a few printed off so they can be posted to elderly relatives and for you to have as a keepsake too!

Something to bear in mind is if you choose to go for a digital invitation then you’re missing out on the finishing touches which can be added to printed invitations. For example, a beautiful wax seal on the envelope.

Or the touch and feel of handmade paper with vellum layers as used in the Clara wedding stationery collection.
