COLOURFUL SPRING WEDDING STYLE

As spring is nearly in the air, I thought I’d share this gorgeous springtime shoot for some inspiration.

Set at the gorgeous Barn at Botley Hill, the theme was all about combining contemporary style with whimsical romance. Taking inspiration from seasonal spring, the countryside setting and glorious sunset tones, the shoot was put together by the wonderful Weddings by Emma Louise. A beautiful colour palette of blues and oranges was used across an abundance of gorgeous florals from the lovely Jessica Eliza Flowers. Clean lines reflected the architecture of the new barn but were softened with the sophisticated bridal style and romantic setup.

The stationery was minimalist in style, utilising muted colours and various materials to not overpower the bright florals. Hand calligraphy elements were used across the suite and paired with the san serif font, gave a traditional twist to the contemporary layout.

Utilising modern materials, the place names were created from frosted Perspex, with calligraphy names added by hand for a truly unique finish.

To add to the effortless romance, the table plan was printed on fabric that softly blew in the wind. Displayed on a copper frame to tie in with the industrial style of the barn.

The beautiful cake by Anna Lewis Cakes was a real juxtaposition of modern shapes against intricate sugar flowers that looked too good to eat!

The gown from Debbie Rees Bridal was the epitome of sophistication and was paired with a soft bridal hair and makeup from the lovely Jen Hawkins for an effortlessly romantic look. Megan Daisy Photography captured the whole thing to perfection in her usual light and bright style, adding to the whimsical look.
